Hi there, I know this is a long way ahead but I am organising my christmas trip to the Uk and when i return on Jan 3rd (2009) I will need to get a train from Pisa airport back to Genova. I have done it before but I can't seem to find any info on the trenitalia site for this date? It keeps telling me "no solutions possible" Any suggestions greatly appreciated :-)

My time table shows 10 Intercity and at least 4 Regionale between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. during each day from Pisa Central. With that frequency I doubt you need to worry.

Bob.

Full timetables/schedules are only available on trenitalia for the next 60 days (approximately). To get approximate times now, put in a current date. There is a change in timetables in December, so check again nearer your departure. But the times are unlikely to change very much.

Yes, I figured there must be loads of trains as you say, started to get twitchy though when it wouldn't display them....but the 60-day-ahead thing explains that nicely....Thank-you both for your input :-)

You might try looking at the trains from Pisa Centrale to Genova. To get to the Pisa Centrale station from the airport is easy -- there is an express train that runs very frequently and takes about 10 minutes. It's possible that the website does not show a direct route from the airport to Genova.

Good theory, lmg11. But wrong, I'm afraid. The trenitalia site is quite happy with entries in English for 'Pisa Airport' to Genoa. You got me wondering for a moment if it needed an entry for 'Pisa Aeroporto', as (unlike, for example, the German rail site) the trenitalia site is very intolerant of bad spellings - but this isn't the case.
