The only hotel next to Genoa airport is the Sheraton.

You could however stay at any hotel in the area around Genoa's Principe train station, and take the first 'VolaBus' at 5.45 AM -- www.amt.genova.it/pdf/pieghevole_volabus.pdf

At that time of day the bus ride won't be more than 15 minutes, and there's going to be no problem making your flight. Genoa airport is very small and there is no need to be there 2 hours ahead of takeoff time.

- central (not enough time to explore the Riviera around the city)

- with character, and

- good food/wine

Try Le Cantine Squarciafico, which is located in a historic building in the old town -- www.squarciafico.it (alas, the site is in Italian only). Reservation essential.

Try the Grand Hotel Savoia. Of those favorably reviewed here on TA it is the only one really close to Principe Station.
