My family of 4 require advice regarding where to stay for a reasonable price(furnished apartment, hotel)for the first 2 weeks of a year stay in Genoa. Our kids 13 and 14 will be going to the international school on Via Quarto 13 - C. We need to be in walking distance or train ride to here. Then we will take a long term rental once settled. We are not here for work just to take a year off so the cost is important. Any advice welcome.

The only two hotels which are walking distance from Genoa's American school are these ones (the top two, the third one is farther out): en.venere.com/hotels_genoa/…

Perhaps the school will have information on furnished apartments nearby. Note however that real estate prices in the area are among the highest in Genoa.

Thank you FF. I was aware of the first 2 can you advise of a hotel further out but within a train ride where the prices are not so pricey

Try on www.venere.com or www.comparior.it

You are more likely to find cheaper hotel rates towards the city center.

The closest hotel to the american school is for sure hotel Iris (2 minutes walking distance).

the reviews on tripadvisor are good/average. Anyway keep in mind that it's quite far from the city centre (5 or 6 km). But it is 200 meters from the sea!!
