We used Roma Cards on our last visit to Rome in May. Although we didn't use the transportation card part, the entrance card paid for itself when used at the Colosseum/Forum/Pallatine Hill/Castello Sant'Angelo.

The Roma Pass site lists where you can purchase them.

Thanks much. Anything is a 'must see'?

<< Anything is a 'must see'?>>

Depends on your interests. I prefer archeological sights rather than churches and museums so those are the places I "must see". If you are into church art, there's plenty of that too. If religious sights are of interest, that too is available.

I found the book, Key (Keys?) to Rome, valuable as it groups the sights into categories.

The Rome overview section on the left of the forum pages has many suggestions of things to do and see.

I regret not buying the Roma Pass online when I was at home.

It was so hectic once you got to Rome, getting luggage, finding hotel, etc, that I just didn't bother getting the pass. Even at the museums (where I learned later that you can also buy it) were pretty busy and nowhere did I see it advertised. So, I didn't buy it. Could have probably saved myself 10-15 Euros.

I used the metro more than I thought I would. So, it could have probably saved me more. So, buy it online before you leave and choose a place to pick it up and it is one less thing you have to do when you arrive in Rome.

I hope this helps!
