Hello We are a group with 6 couples from Norway who is planning a hiking tour in the Catalonian Pyrenees in the end of September. (3-4 days) We are flying in and out of Girona. Is Nuria a good place to start or is there other places who is better ? What is the best transportation from Girona: Train or bus ? Our group have each year a hikingtour in the Norwegian-montains. This trip to the Pyrenees is to celebrate our 10th year of hicking. I would very much appreciate some help to make this tour an unforgettable memory. We would like to go a 3-step rout, see the best of the nature in this part of the Pyrenees and stay at hotels with good local food. (I’ll be gladly answer questions about hiking in Norway.) Hi, Public transportation from Girona to the mountains is not so good. I would get a rental car instead... Núria is a good place to start a 3-day trekking. I don't kno w how are trekking routes in Norway but in the Pyrenees you're most likely to sleep in a refugee than in a hotel. However in the specific case of Núria, there's a 3-star hotel there.
