Thinking of heading to San Sebastian ( from Barcelona) for 3 days (Oct2-5)

Any suggestions on things to do/sites to see?( enjoy sightseeing, beaches, local food and nightlife)

Can we go hiking/walking in the pyrenees from San Sebastian? Any recommendations on areas/spots?

Best/cheapest way to get to San Sebastian from BCN?

The best way to get to San Sebastian-Donostia is to fly into the San Sebastian airport (Hondarribia). It's a one-hour flight. Iberia is currently offering a web fare of only €200 for the round trip. The regular fare is closer to €550. Iberia also offers a regular fare to Bilbao on Click Air for a low of €164 round trip.

The train is another option, but it takes several hours (renfe.es).

There are some great walking routes in the Pyrenees, but they begin in Navarra and the Pays Basque, around La Rhune. There are some interesting walking routes along the coast and inland, southwest of San Sebastian.
