Hi,

My boyfriend and I are spending six days in San Sebastian and then three days in Biarritz starting next week. We are planning to come to Haro for the night on the Friday of our trip.

Is it fairly straightforward by bus/train from San Sebastian? Is it easiest to go to Vitoria and then from there to Haro?

In that brief stay in Haro we would also like to see a couple of bodegas or/and do some wine tasting. We will be restricted to public transport though. Are there local ones or ones that are easily accessible by train/bus/taxi?

Is it too ambitious to then hope to go back to San Sebastian on the sat via Logrono or Laguardia?

Or would it be easiest overall to do Haro/Rioja trip from Biarritz??

Any help very gratefully received!

Thanks :o)

You can reach Haro from San Sebastian-Donostia by bus or train (check Renfe.es). If you go by rail, then it is possible to do a day trip, but the easiest way is to drive (2-1/2 hours via Pamplona).

You can check Maribel's Guide to the Rioja (maribelsguides.com) regarding bodega tours.
