I was in fact just going to post the same question myself as we are going to the Princess Playa in January and I wondered if the buses run in the evening in the winter?

I can tell you that we caught the bus in August mid evening and it was only about 4 euros each and they run hourly ,we then got a taxi to the marbella inn hotel from bus station for about 5 euros. (From what I can see they are probably about the same distance from the bus station.) It was well worth it as our previous taxi cost us 70 euros!

Would be grateful to hear your views on the Princes Playa as it will be our first time there.

Hi Have been to marbella recently. I would recommend the bus from the airport to marbella bus station. It only costs €4.25 per person while the taxi could cost you as much as €70. The bus service is brilliant. Look up Portillo bus services or go to site www.gomarbella.com/costadelsolbuses. You can easily get a taxi from bus station to Princesa Playa which only cost us €5. So it really is much cheaper.

Check out the time table for buses on above site. Just make sure when you look at it that you look at winter timetable - because summer one is usually up as well.

It is easy to find bus stop at airport - come out of airport from arrivals hall and turn right about 30 metres further down you will see the bus stop. Its a blue bus. Several other buses use this stop so make sure its the marbella bus!!! It is very easy.
