We went to the Playa Andaluza last June and are returning in July. I am interested to know what stage the construction is at now. Last year there were 3 buildings open and the structure of the 4th was up. Also what is the condition of the beach now and have any restauraunts bars and shops opened nearby.

Hi Andy

We look after apartments in Hacienda del Sol, and as far as I can see constructions looks finished in the Marriot but it is still going on behind. The beach has been improved and at the moment there is a beach bar open which is a great improvement. Also about a 5 minute walk there are about 5 different restaurants, they are situated next to the New Crown Plaza Hotel. There is a pub, lebanese, italian and indian, a balinese style restaurant will be opening soon. Enjoy your holiday

I am trying to go spetember 2008 to this playa andaluza marriott.

is there still tons of construction? what was your experience?

In regards to this hotel... how far is it from the Malaga airport? Would this be a good location/base if we wanted to explore Ronda, Seville, and maybe do a day trip to Tangiers?

I work for Marriott and get great personal disounts and could stay here for 64 Euros per night or in Marbella for 119 euros per night. Any suggestions on what would be best?

Would we be wise to rent a car?
