We are staying at Burg Liebenstein Otober 8-10 and I was searcing for things to do in the Koblenz area. I noticed an annual music festival held in October but was unable to get the dates etc. Does anyone have any advice on this or any other things we could do including reataurants? Thanks in advance.

Just back from a weeks holiday in Koblenz. Nice city but not much in the way of sights. People very friendly, good for shopping and very good for food. Just take a walk in the old town and take your pick of all the restaurants. Einstein was a favourite of ours but plenty of others along the same road with great food at half the price we pay in Dublin.

As I said not much sightseeing in Koblenz, we took a trip up to Remagen for the sights connected to the bridge. Also took the bus up to Boppard. Both towns are very pretty, Remagen with the added intrest of the bridge and both had great places to eat and drink. Hope we are of some help. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the info. You did not mention anyhting about any of the cruise lines that travel the Rhine and tour the near by castles. From what I can see they are still operating. Sounds like we will just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.

Hello again,

Regarding the boats, there was lots of options at all the locations. Tickets and information was available along all the proms. We used the train and bus service to travel around as I dont trust my sea legs.
