Koblenz Hbf to KD cruise area |
|
My question is how far is it from Hauptbahnhof in Koblenz to where I board the KD cruise line. I have 50 minutes to the boat depart when my train arrives so I wonder if that enough time to walk (or by taxi) and then buy the ticket for the cruise. Hope anyone have an answer, Tommy P |

The Koblenz KD landing point is situated directly at the promenade of the Rhine near the "Deutsche Eck" on the Konrad -Adenauer- Ufer.It is certainly possible to walk well within 50 mins from the station. However a taxi driver will know the exact location, and will not cost much..Hope this helps.Greetings from Scotland .

Thanks for your help! My last question is, if you know, where I buy the ticket? On the boat or in a ticketbooth? Thanks again for your help!

What will be the best option depends from where and on what kind of ticket you travel to Koblenz. If you buy the ticket at a ticket counter in one of the bigger stations, you can buy at the same time also the ticket for the boat. Will give you automatically a discount of 20% on the boat fare. You will also get this discount if you show a valid train ticket when buying the boat ticket from the KD ticket kiosk (next to their landing stage(s)).

I also have a question about the KD cruise line dock. I am arriving by boat and staying in a hotel on Banhofplatz (directly across from the Hbf). The map I found shows the KD landing at the end of Markenbildchenweg, but here you are saying it is at Konrad-Adenhauer-Uter. Are there two docks? Also, is it possible to cross through the train station on foot from the Bahnhofplatz side to Beatusstr. without walking all the way around? Thank you in advance!

> The map I found shows the KD landing at the end of Markenbildchenweg, but here you are saying it is at Konrad-Adenhauer-Uter. Are there two docks? There are more than just 2 docks. The docks start at the palace (begin of Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer) and are continuing till Deutsches Eck. The ones used by KD are more towards the Deutsches Eck. > Also, is it possible to cross through the train station on foot from the Bahnhofplatz side to Beatusstr. without walking all the way around? Hmmm? Never used it, but pretty sure that the underground passage connecting the platforms is continuing till the street on the other side of the tracks.
