Has anyone gone on the BMW factory tour? Is it close to the train station? We will be arriving from Munich by train for a day trip and tour. Any information is helpful.

> Is it close to the train station?

No. It's a huge plant outside of Regensburg.

Will default to "BMW Tor 2, Regensburg-Harting", which is the right bus stop/entrance (Tor/Gate 2) for you.

Don't miss to visit the old town of Regensburg itself (UNESCO world heritage).

We visited it today. It was great. All in German but still interesting since you get right on the production floor and can determine most of what is going on anyway. There are reservations but it didn't seem to matter. Gate 2 Guard house. We attended a tour at 1:15 and were finished at 3:30. An outer suburb of Regensburg so not close to the train station. It is near Neutraubling. No idea how to get there by bus. We used a car and navigation with location provided by a friendly guy cleaning up his garden. We saw several M3's being manufactured. I don't think they are delivering for some time yet at least not in North America.
