Oktoberfest late Sept Weather whats it like? |

Going to Oktoberfest in Munich late Sept this year. Can anybody tell me what to expect in terms of weather, so that I may pack appropriately and light. Is it going to be cold? or will it still be summery? Report as inappropriate |

There is no way to predict the weather 3 months in advance. Can be summery, can be chilly and rainy, can be a mix. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

It's really a 50/50 deal... I have been to Oktoberfest the 4th week of Sept. 10 of the past 11 years. Perhaps 5 or of those years, it was around 50 degrees & cool many of the 16 days, with some rain off & on... However, perhaps 3 of the past 5 or 6 years... it's been around 75 degrees & Sunny for 75 to 80% of the 16 day event.. I would bring 1 sweater & 1 jacket, but also bring lite pants. I was comfortable in jeans and a tshirt last year. Like everyone said the weather can be anything. However, I do remember being warm in the tents...especially hofbrau. For that reason, I will be bringing apair of shorts this year. Report as inappropriate | ||||||
