We are a Aussie Family of 3 travelling from Strasbourg to Fussen. Was wondering if anyone could tell us the most simple way to do this. We are also looking for somewhere unique to stay in the Strasbourg area. Maybe somewhere on the river? Would love some suggestions.

Hey Jenny, thats a good idea of staying somewhere near the river. You have lots of choices like Place de Rohan, Hotel Cathedral which are just 2 min. walk to the river. There you can go for the the sightseeing trip, enjoy Notre Dame, the markets and the food.

I was in Strasbourg for 1 month and stayed in Holiday Inn. It was an excellent stay and from here you can catch tram which is just a 1 min. walk from the hotel.

Travelling to Fussen by car would be really good. It would be a 3 1/2 hrs-4 hrs journey but just in 2 hrs you'll reach the area called baden Wuttenburg also know as Black Forest. It's a scenic route and you'll definitely enjoy it!

Another option is via Romantic Road in Wulzbarg which would be a 6 hrs journey.
