Hello,

I'm hoping someone can give us an idea of how much time we need to plan if we want to drive from Killarney to Kenmare and see a few sights inbetween.

After some research, we've opted not to do the entire ring in favor of spending a full day on the Dingle Peninsula.

So after seeing Dingle, we will drive to Killarney to stay overnight.

The next morning, we're planning to drive the bit from Killarney to Kenmare... eventually making our way to Blarney Castle by early afternoon. What stops should we make and how long should we plan for them?

Ladie's View? Gap of Dunloe? any suggestions?

Ladies View is on the way from Killarney to Kenmare. Gap of Dunloe is not on the way - you would either have to head back to Kate Kearney's Cottage and get a Jaunnting car to the Gap or drive up to the turn off for Kenmare and then down the Black Valley and drive through. Not a drive for the faint hearted and it would take you 2 hours or so, and then you'd be back at Kate Kearney's cottage again!!

My suggestions, for what its worth (get out a map of Ireland if you have one and look at the locations)

Muckross House and Gardens or merely the Gardens if you wish. I love the gardens.

Torc Waterfall. Not too far down the road from Muckross. Its about 1/4 mile walk or so from the road.

Ladies View.

The scenery from Killarney to Kenmare is magnificent. So pull in where its safe.

Kenmare.

Then you have a choice:

Inland to Gougane Barra cork-guide.ie/gouganebarra/gouganebarra.html

OR and this will take a bit longer, drive to Glengarriff and along parts of the coast (don't go out to the headlands)
