Hi all, I'm heading to kenmare on saturday with my family (2 adults, 1 12yr,1 5yr and 1 20month) for week. We have rented a house in kenmare and i am looking for ideas on what do to. Any suggestions would be great. Also can you do the gap of dunloe in a people carrier or is it all hiking.

hi derv, there are lots of great sightseing drives around here and yes you can do the gap of dunloe in a people carrier but it is advisable to do this early in the morning. Check these two sites for more things to do www.neidin.net and www.staroutdoors.com .

You are ariving here at a very busy weekend and the traffic is at best chaotic this past week and can take some time to drive through town.

If you want anything specific please ask and i will try to answer.

Hope you have a great time here....

PS its still raining here....

Your family would enjoy the Kisanne Sheep farm just past Moll's Gap as you drive towards Killarney. They have sheep herding and shearing demos. The farm is in a beautiful setting in the Black Valley. You could take a picnic lunch and wander on their property for awhile too. They are lovely people. Check out: http://www.kissanesheepfarm.com/links.html
