We are a quiet, unobtrusive gay male couple who will be traveling around Great Britain. We were thinking of booking a B&B in Bangor. Can we expect to be welcomed? I know that it is now illegal for hosts in the UK to refuse accommodations on the basis of sexuality, but I don't know how tolerant North Wales is. Are we likely to encounter cold shoulders or hostility? Thanks for your insights.

I run a B&B in Wales.If you look on visit Wales or visit Britain websites they list accomodation and have a 'suitable for' section where proprietors can specify single sex partners, as I do.You should be welcomed at these establishments.

you have asked this question before about various locations in the UK

we are a tolerant lot here - we normally just do not ask questions - its common for friends to share a room to save money so no need to worry
