I understand that this opened yesterday (correct ?): someone in my office (in Swindon) suggested that for the first week food (but not booze) is free while they sort out any gremlins.

Anyone know if this is true ? sounds too good to be, but you never know with Jamie.

Do please update if you hear any more RC, I'll be there like a shot! Along with the thousands of others from the West Country.....never get a table, but good publicity I suppose.

I have heard that he was going on a slow opening. If I am correct it was not open to the public but to the trade. I could be wrong.

He was on Chris Moyles show on Radio 1 the other day and said that when they open a new place they don't charge for the first week, only for booze and the second week is 50% off.

It's to allow them to get the staff used to running the restaurant and also gets their name and reputation out there.

went last week - have to say that although I had to pay full price it was worth it! Pains me to say but probably the best pasta dish I've ever eaten! The Ravioli caramele was lovely.
