Trust Reg to spoil the fun

you never get value for money in Restaurants

Judging what happened (twice) to the interesting "sandwich" thread; items on food are now considered "not travel related".

Glad you enjoyed your meal Barb. I'll wager it was sufficient to fill you up, but perhaps not quite big enough for Reggie.

Loch fyne CAN be good - like all places they vary - pity -you would think with a chain some effort would be put into quality control

But I believe the £11 pound meal deal includes a glass of wine - so with London prices it must be worth thinking about

Yes, I know what you mean about consistency, I reluctantly ended up in a Cafe Rouge in Stratford last year, had an amazingly great dinner. The one

local to us is the pits. I think that's a chain that gets very mixed reviews depending on location.

I'll try Loch Fyne :-)

If giving facts as distinct from cow towing to hyperbole advertising is kill joy then one must plead guilty.Even see an allegedly 5 star hotel in its web site advertising 150 metres from an oil refinery? One in Madeira & one in Canary I know of.

Many of us try to give unbiased facts based on PQR

hence comments on W etc also I dislike having my photo taken in a restaurant on cct

As Barbe observed, you don't go to restaurants for food value ratios.

The product price is not what you pay for, you pay for the finished article + the service/establishment provided for your pleasure and the chefs expertise.

That's why a bit of pork belly can cost a fortune if prepared by a top chef and many top restaurants excellent in 'cheap cuts' as = more profit.

If you enjoy dinner in the places recommended here on the 2 for 1, then it's probably good value regardless of food value or indeed the price of chips :-)
