Hi, its been years since we last visited Blackpool and weve seen a nice hotel on Cocker Street. Just wondering if thats close enough to the clubs and lively bars?

Thanks in advance Cheryl x

It's right in the thick of the gay bars and about a five minute walk from the main straight clubbing area. Cocker Street isn't posh but I've stayed at hotels there and found it perfectly acceptable, it's better than a lot of places in the hotel zones of Blackpool.

The only way you'd get a "posher" or nicer area would be to go right up into North Shore towards Bispham which would be too far from the bars and clubs for you I think.

Thanks for your replies, we are looking at the Crompton Hotel. Its only a girlie weekend thing so not too fussed on the area, just need somewhere to kip, put on our slap and easy walking distance to the pubs lol.

If not fully booked try the Holiday Hotel on Bank St, really nice little hotel, in the pub and club area, a bit closer than Cocker St too. Wouldnt recommend any others on Bank St though

don't even think about staying in this area

Hotels are very shabby and attract the wrong type of

people not an area I would walk in even during daylight hours
