Hi

Fleetwood Market is open every day except Wednesdays and Sundays.

What can one say. It all depends what you are looking for, clothes, shoes, handbags, bling!!! That's what I love looking at. It is not as good as it was in the old days, but still packs a good crowd of people. There is also Freeport as you come into Fleetwood, designer outlet, definetly worth a look.

Enjoy the Ken Webster show, it's great. And enjoy your time in Blackpool. Here's hoping we get a bit of summer weather.

It's still big and basically sells what you would expect to find in a market (Think South Shields but cozier and mostly under cover). There are some very clean and quite cheap eating places both in the market and just outside.

The outlet mentioned has just been improved quite a lot and is also worth a visit; about a mile away on the outskirts of town.

Let us all know if you will have a car or want to go by tram or by bus (only the bus goes right to the outlet).

Hi G4e:

As you probably remember, the market is right in the town centre. Some free street parking close by, as is a small, fairly cheap pay car park; there ARE wardens around.

If you're buying a snack or lunch, buy in or near the market, there really are some good local, quite cheap cafes. Also good availability of pies, sandwiches etc.

Freeport is about a mile away and is well signposted, or just ask. Don't miss it as you're so close! There is a massive free car park which won't be very busy on a Monday. Food here is pricey and not much variety hence suggestion to eat near market.

This is a good outlet, not that big but with a M&S and other useful clothes and household goods outlets; some very high quality. Beware there is a Cadbury shop - run past or you will buy and eat!

The Cadbury's shop I believe is at the Fleetwood Freeport. I have been to Freeport a few times and wouldn't recommend it for a visit. However, that's just my opinion and plenty of people would put forward convincing arguments for it being a great place to go.

Did you know though, much closer to home, there is a Cadbury shop the Outlet mall in Livingston ? It's always struck me as a bit of a rip-off mind you as the prices are rarely much cheaper than normal stores.

Freeport is good if you are interested in designer labels. I've been three times and always get my reebok trainers at a great price, the rest of the shops I find hard to nab a bargain, but it all depends on your own taste. It is worth a look if you have never been before. I did not find the Cadbury's shop to be cheap and I can have my moments of being a chocoholic. Last time I went I bought Popcorn from there. LOL

If i remember rightly it was on the Tuesday and Saturday.

We went on the Tuesday of our holiday and it was mostly indoors. It was full of small stalls, mainly clothing, bits and bobs and nothing like I imagined it to be.
