Does anyone know of a secure car park , near enough to the cruise terminal so we could get a taxi to the port, other than the one used by the cruise companies, which is very expensive?

I was told that local residents rent out space, if they have it , but is this true?

I would recomend staying in a hotel prior to your cruise that offers parking. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Southampton which is next to the port and it cost me £150 for a double room with breakfast and 15 days car parking. I parked at the front of the hotel and was able to start my cruise the day before with a good nights sleep and hearty breakfast - well worth the money!

anyone looking for secure parking at the Port of Southampton close to the cruise terminal, then its best booking via www.abparking.co.uk

you will be less than 5 mins walk to the terminal and have porters. The car park is secure as unathorised vehicles or visitors are not allowed to enter gate.

Sometimes can seem slightly expensive but only approx £10.00 more than other facilities, where you have to take a 20 min coach/taxi journey in.
