I am picking up a rental car at London Gatwick and driving to Winchester for a couple of days. Then on to the port of Southampton to cruise on the Queen Victoria. I can' seem to find a car rental company that has a drop off office at the port. I am not happy about having to drop the car in the town of Southampton and then finding a way to get to the port for my cruise. Help!! thanks a bunch!!

I can not help with the hire car, but my suggestionn would be to drop the car off in Southampton at the hire car place, which ever one that may be, and then get a taxi to the port. If you let me know which hire car company you are thinking of using and where they are located, I could hazard a guess at how much it would cost, and how long it would take to get from the hire car company to the port.

I'm planning to do this in reverse, hoping to find a rental car company who can drop off at the port for our arrival. I then want to do a one-way hire to the NW of England.

GypsieRosie did you have any luck? Or David, any suggestions for me?
