Why on earth do you need it?

It's not as if it's going to be 30C all day and every day.

Why not ask if your hotel bedroom has a window that opens?

I just booked a room for my dad, and one thing I considered when choosing the hotel was his preference for air conditioning. I've booked him into the Pommed'Or which advertises air conditioned rooms.

Jersey is not a tropical climate!! You don't need air con!

surely this forum is to assist, to inform and give factual exsperiences, it is not to make judgements or question why, some people like air con, some people like windows open, we are all different and we all like what we like.

Well I'm sitting here in my house in untropical Essex wishing that I had air conditioning tonight. After years of living in the States, I find that my preference is for air conditioning whenever it's available. To each his or her own...

Mummy C we are also sitting here on the essex suffolk border wishing we had air con and we also spend a lot of time in St Petersburg Tampa where perhaps the air con is overdone !!

we are back to jersey on wed for a few days so we will look out for some hearty Children places to eat eat eat.

MummyC - do check with the Pomme D'or as I'm not sure that all of their rooms have air-con.

The only hotel I know of the top of my head that is 100% airconditioned is L'horizon. The New Royal Yacht and Radisson are likely to have it too.

Others have some rooms with and some without, and the vast majority have none at all.
