The nearest top scoring hotels to the Univ are the Hotel du Vin and the Marriott Royal

Which part of the university are you going to and is it definately bristol or is it UWE.

Bristol university has many locations and some are outside the city

The main location is Marriott and Hotel Du Van but there are others as well - both are expensive.

There are cheaper ones as well.

There are many Guest Houses in that area that would offer better rates than a hotel. Tap 'Guest Houses Clifton' into your browser & you'll get a few. Anything with the postcode BS8/BS7 is practically on the doorstep - Tyndalls Park, St Pauls Rd, for example.

That's presuming, as Ali said, that you don't mean UWE. If you do, that's miles out!

Clifton hotels have several hotels (under different names) around Bristol, Berkeley Square Hotel is by far the closest but it's around £100 a night.

Rodney hotel is a little further away from the main building of Uni of Bristol but closer to its student union.

Bear in mind that Uni of Bristol is made up of many buildings spread across 1-2 mile area, and in case you don't already know, Bristol is pretty compact so you can literally walk from one end of centre to the other within 15-20 mins.
