Novotel is near to temple meads and have stayed in the london one when our son was about 4 months and they were very good.

There is also a Ramada Plaze near by which has swimming pool.

Depends what you think of not to pricey?

directly opposite temple meads is an holiday inn express.

just along by redcliffe there is the ramada plaza then a mercure just past the cathedral.

nearby there is the novotel as well.

further down towards the harbourside & city centre area there is premier inn, ibis, thistle, travelodge but these are a long walk or taxi ride away.

i would try the ramada plaza but could pay extra for breakfast in these hotels.

just so you dont get confused the church by mercure holland house is not a cathedral - its St Mary Redcliffe and i think it was Queen Victoria who said it was the fairest parish church in all of england.

It could easily be confused with a cathedral

It is a lovely church.

Bristol Cathedral is further into town and at the bottom of Park St.
