Thinking of having a weekend in Bristol in August. Any moderatly priced bed and breakfasts or hotels in or near the city centre? Also, how far from the airport? Read on the site there may be a shuttle bus, is that correct? In other words i haven't got a clue!! Any help appreciated.

There many hotels in Bristol whats your budget, there is an Ibis which is cheap and all the other cheaper hotels.

During August there is the Balloon Fiesta at Ashton Court and its an excellent free event aug 7th to 10th if you were thinking of this weekend make sure you book up a hotel now.

There will also be harbour festival which i think is the weekend before another free event.

Yes there is a shuttle bus from the airport which drops you at various points around the city and as far as i know pretty regular.

Stayed at the PTI nr the centre (Haymarket?) about 18 months ago, which was ideal for purpose and £56 per night.

Did you go there? If so, do you know if there's a car park, either belonging to the hotel or nearby, please? Thanks for this info regarding either Ibis hotel in Bristol.
