Holiday Inn to Bristol Centre options? |
|
We will be staying on two overnights this weekend at the Holiday Inn at the airport (well, a few miles SW of teh airport!). What options (apart from an expensive taxi) are there to get into Bristol city centre? Only option I can see is using their shuttle to go to the airport and then using the express bus from there into town (and the same the way back). A bit of a palarvar, are there any busses pass by the Holiday Inn on the way to Bristol? |

Not sure I'm afraid - I live the other side of Bristol. You could try calling the hotel they may know. To be honest any buses may not be that frequent and will have more stops, so the bus from the airport may be quicker anyway.

The only option you can see is the better one & certainly much cheaper than a cab!! I was sure that there was a bus that ran from Bristol to Felton/Lulsgate area, but I can't see it on the First Bus website. As vegaschick said though, you'll be lucky if it runs twice a day - bus services in the more rural parts are pathetic. Stick with your option, the Flyer gets into town reasonably quickly and they run frequently throughout the day.

ive also checked the first bus website and it would seem the bus goes off the main road at chuchill, into wrington and then through the lanes to lulsgate. I suggest you phone the hotel directly and check as it may come off the main road into wrington and then back out on the main road. Churchill and Wrington are the nearest villiages that you are staying near by but still a decent walk
