Hi,

Any advice as to how to get from Bristol direct back to Heathrow Airport T4?

I surfed the national express website and found that they charge 63 pounds for 2 persons (which seems to be relatively more expensive as compared to taking the rail + tube). Just like to find out if by taking the national express, will it save us the hassle of moving luggage and looking for stations/exits as it will bring us direct straight to the airport?

Or any other suggestions?

Try megabus website, the bus leaves Bristol at 7:15 and gets into Victoria at 10am. You can then get the tube to Heathrow. You can get a single bus ticket for between £1 and£9 depending on when you book.

The train is fairly simple - you change at Reading onto the special Rail-Air coach, so no need to travel into London. Like you say, there are some good deals on advance tickets for around 20 GBP each.

thanks for offering so many options! ..

I have another query. I will be arriving in Bristol by rail at Temple Mead rail station. Besides cab, are there other convenient mode of transport to take us from the rail station to our hotel, which is at St Paul's Road?

Also, I would like to know the approximate cab fare from the Washington hotel (which we had already booked) to the main coach station and also from the Temple Mead rail station to the hotel.

Thank you.

Take a number 8 or 9 bus from Temple Meads, these go through Clifton. If you tell the bus driver where you are going, he will give you a shout near the stop. A taxi fare for that journey will be in the region of £12 ish.

The fastest and most efficent way is by Taxi but obviously not the cheapest a company worth looking at if you did decide to travel by Taxi is Style Taxis they have a website at www.styletaxis.co.uk
