Be aware that unionized workers of 22 hotels in Montreal might go on strike July 8 if a settlement has not been reached. Restaurant, front desk and housekeeping service is going to be affected. The non-unionized staff will cover the basic service but do not expect much.

I do not know which hotels will be affected. Call your hotel before you check in. For now, they say it's only a 24-hour strike starting July 8.
