Hi there,

I will be staying in Toronto for a few days next week. Which is the best area to stay in Toronto. I am mainly looking for a good place with many restaurants and bars, hence nght life ;-). During the day I also intend to do some shopping. Is downtown a good and safe place for this?

From Alsace Basel of course would be the closest choice but still I would recommend you to visit Zurich (I must admit that I know Basel only from business). There is quite a choice of bars, clubs, good restaurants, etc. and then if you come in spring / summer the lake is pretty nice too. Please let me know if you need any more information.
