Ontario in September |
|
We will be holidaying in the Toronto area of Ontario for three weeks in September. Just wondering what events of any kind will be on at that time. We will have our own transport so can travel around in any direction. This is not our first trip and we are pretty familiar with the surrounding area. |

Here is a start: Taste of the Kingsway Festival, Toronto September 9-10, 2005 Owen Sound Celtic Festival, Owen Sound September 16-18, 2005 Niagara Grape & Wine Festival, St. Catharines September 16-25, 2005 Niagara Food Festival, Welland September 23-25, 2005 Lots of fall fairs, but I don't have a listing. The one in Metcalfe, near Ottawa, has been running annually since 1856, Sep 29 to Oct 2.

Hi Fifers, September is a beautiful time of year to visit with fall colours in full display in the more northerly parts of Ontario. If you've never experienced the Muskokas, spending a few days hiking and taking photographs could be fun. Ottawa is a wonderful city to visit if your tastes are more urban. The Niagara region always has much to offer. The Shaw Festival in Niagara on the Lake as well as the Stratford Festival are still on in September. It all depends on your interests! Check ontariotravel.net for a calendar of events for everything from art shows and fall fairs to walking tours. Hope that helps somewhat.
