My husband and I will be travelling to Ottawa on Oct 17 - 19th. We don't get away often and have this wonderful opportunity to getaway without our children. I was wondering if someone can recommend a romantic and not too pricey restaurant for a nice quiet dinner. We are staying at the Cartier Hotel so something fairly close by would be helpful. Thanks !! You may want to venture a little ways from your hotel. While there are lots of places to Eat on Elgin st. most of them are quite lively. Though Frescocielo might work for you. Please define "not too pricey". Report as inappropriate | ||||||

We ate at Frescocielo in August and weren't impressed. Our meals were mediocre in taste and presentation and there was only one dessert available - they were out of everything else. The tables are situated very close together which would rule out privacy & romance... Report as inappropriate | ||||||

I am not a big fan of Fresco`s either. What kind of food are you gearing towards. There is a good Italian restauant at the end of Cooper Street (same street as hotel) called Carmello`s. Report as inappropriate | ||||||
