Hi

I'm staying at the Four Seasons at the end of Jan 09. Plan is to get up and go straight up the mountain and have breakfast up there. Is anywhere particularly recommended? And what is breakfast like at the Four Seasons itself? How much is it and is it worth the money?

Also, in the village itself where is good for cheap eats? And are there any good Indian restaurants in Whistler? My partner loves curry and if there's an Indian in Whistler it'll make his day!

Thanks for your help.

Ingrid's Deli is a well established local sandwich place. Ingrid sold the place years ago, but the new owner's kept the name. It's near what I know as the original village plaza, which is where Citta and the Liquor Store are located.

My favorite breakfast is actually over in Creekside, at the South Side Diner. The Brie French Toast is amazing! You could ski over to Creekside, and then have breakfast there if you liked. :> Not many options on the mountains themselves. Just basic cafeteria food for the most part. Hit a bakery and pick up some muffins you can eat on the chair on the way up, because it's a long ride up!

God, I'm dating myself - sorry, I meant to say "eat in the gondola." Chairs are just so passe!

If I recall correctly their buffet breakfast was close to $30.00. For a few dollars less you can get the same buffet breakfast at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler next door. I don't actually think anything is worth $25 for breakfast no matter how good!

For breakfast I usually go to Chef Bernard's Ciao-Thyme Bistro located at Glacier's Lodge right on the pedestrian walkway in front of the Fairmont CW.

For Indian food, the Tandoori Grill in the Marketplace area (Village North) has authentic food and gets very good reviews.

I stayed at the Four Seasons last summer, and I will give a tip if you are ordering room service. The "kid menu" is a lot cheaper than the regular menu but the portions are the same. I ordered the "children's burger" one night because I was not very hungry and the waiter told me that the burger was the same as the regular menu, he just said not many people knew that.
