Public transit is available via the city bus. She will need exact change - usually $3.50 on weekedays before 6:30pm, or $2.50 all day on weekends and weekdays after 6:30pm.

She can pick up the bus right outside of the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. It will drive along Marine Drive over the Lions Gate bridge, and along Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver.

There is no real luggage storage on the bus, aside from one counter top area by the driver (enough for one small-ish suitcase), otherwise she will have to keep suitcases strategically placed in the aisle of the bus.

Thats great. Thanks for the help. Hopefully she will be able to hop on a bus at Horseshoe which will drop her in town close enough to a hotel (she has yet to get one of those!!!) :)

As for hotels, if she is on a budget, there are budget hotels on Robson Street, two short blocks from Georgia Street on which she will be coming into Vancouver.

If she has a bit more money to spend, I would suggest the Wedgwood Hotel on Hornby Street, near to the Centre and a very nice very well run boutique hotel where a single older lady will be well looked after.

i always suggest ppl catch the express at the first stop , outside vcc (Vancouver community college)because the bus is very popular and this will ensure you don't get stuck standing the whole way there
