Aviawest - Rosedale on Robson |
|
Would be interested to hear from anyone whom has stayed at the timeshare resort. I think RCI have a few units at a hotel called Rosedale on Robson. Are the units better or the same as the hotel units rented to the public? Is the complimentry breakfast included? Would this be suitable for two adults and two children aged 6 and 7? Your advise would be appreciated. |

Funny I was just trying to write a review on this place but it is not listed in Tripadvisor. Yes Aviawest has 30-40 units in this building.Aviawest is part of RCI. I have stayed there a few times on bonus time, you get a deal when Aviawest is your travel club and have found some real inconsistencies in the rooms and my last stay I was not at all impressed with the room and it was older and the air conditioning wasnt working and very little was done about it.I think as an exchange they give the better rooms as they want a good RCI rating. The best part of this property IMO is the location.Yaletown has become my favorite part of downtown. Complimentary breakfast is not included with Aviawest. If you had a two bedroom unit it would work with kids

Thanks for your comments. We have been offered a one bedroom unit. I have been checking some of the reviews and quite a few not so good. We have decided not to use this Hotel, for a couple of reasons, but the main one being that it is not really a good date to fit in with our other plans. I was interested to see that you are the Victoria Expert. We definitely want to visit your area, do you think a day trip would be enough, or should we stay a night. Our time is quite short, trying to see a lot in a relatively short time, as we are along way from home. After our Alaskian cruise, we had thought of staying two or three nights only in Vancouver and one of those days do a day trip to Victoria. Can you offer any advise on the best way to do this. Thanks MalNZ

A day trip to Victoria with two kids in tow would be a looooong day and IMO you would be better to spend an evening. If you are on a short trip the greater Vancouver area has plenty to see and do,but it all depends on the pace you want to keep and if you want to relax or go home exhausted and have seen and done more

I had heard that Victoria was a MUST to visit, and had thought of staying a night over there. Do not know alot about your city, is everything quite close or is getting around Victoria hard without a vehicle. What would you suggest for a day or stay in Victoria? Can you suggest any decent priced accommodation close to the main attractons? How long does the ferry take to get to Victoria, and how much does it cost? Thanks in advance for you help.
