could anyone please tell me how long it takes to get from UBC to Simon Fraser University? by bus, train?

Use the trip planner on Translink's website.

Doing that shows about 1hr 5mins, which would probably be longer than the actual time. That's assuming bus loop to bus loop... there are a few choices for SFU.

Take bus, skytrain, bus - 084, Millennium Line, 145, or just buses 44 and 135, and add an extra twenty minutes.
