Either Chilliwack or Hope would be good. After that you won't have any more options before Merritt. I assume you are going to be taking Highway 10 out of Vancouver and meet up with Highway 1 out in Langley? Try to stay south as you head out from the airport - you'll avoid the worst of the traffic.

As you get into Chilliwack, there is a mall on the right hand side of the freeway that has a number of chain restaurants - you'll see the Golden Arches as you approach the exit. It's easy to get on and off the freeway there, and that would be about one hour from the airport. If you feel like pressing on to Hope, about another 30 minutes from there, then you will have to drive into town and find a little cafe, but there are lots of them and they will also be open for breakfast. Not so many chain restaurants there, more local cafe type places, but its a cute little town and worth a quick stop.

We did the trip in winter and stopped at Hope for dinner on the way to BW and had lunch at Chilliwack on the way back to Vancouver, Chilliwack has more fast food places, if we were doing it again we would get something at Langley on the way out of Vancouver. What time of the year are you doing the trip?

The Blue Moose right in Hope ( 322 Wallace St)has great coffee and good breakfast things..not really bacon and eggs but breakfast pizza, buns, wraps good panini's etc. to get to the Blue Moose follow the signs for Hwy 1 into Hope Wallace will be a turn to your right then go down about 3 blocks BM is on your right opposite the park with chain saw carvings

for regular breakfast go to the Hope Drive -In and Restaurant (590 Old Hope Princeton Hwy). You will take the same exit but once yu circle under the hwy and head twds highway one you will immediately turn right onto Old Hope Princeton road there is a big Chevron(gas station) with Whitespot and store on one corner ( on your left) plus a Petrocanada gas station. on the right.restaurant is just before you get to Petro canada and across from Chevron..not fancy but consistent reasonable full breakfast here.
