Transfer from Vancouver airport to Coast Plaza hotel |
|
What do you suggest? Taxi or public transport? There will be 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. What can we expect to pay via each method? |
|
A cab should cost $30-$40 and will be much more convenient than public transport.

I agree with the Taxi idea. If you have too much luggage, there are also limousines for hire just outside international arrivals and they still have reasonable prices. Have a great vacation.

Taxi or limo definitely. The bus costs $10 per person and is fairly convenient, but a passenger van taxi will cost less or the same and be quicker and more comfortable(assuming you have too much luggage for 4 people in a standrad car). The taxi organizers right outside the airport will help with this, or just wait a few minutes for a van instead of a car. A limo to downtown will cost about the same (they have fixed rates by zone) if that's something you'd have fun with. Either way you can expect between $30 and $40 - the same for the bus for 4 people.

To clarify, the $10 per person is the airport to hotel zone shuttle bus. It is possible to get from the airport to downtown on regular public transit ($2.50 per person) but until 2009 when the high speed rail from the airport to downtown is finished, you will be on the regular bus and have to transfer routes at least once (very inconvenient with luggage).

Thanx a lot...lots of good advice!
