Hi-Ho, Werdna

First off the Radium Hot Springs is one place and only has two pools and a small suprise plunge tub.

HOT POOL: A huge pool which is not very deep. It is like a huge hot tub with spring water strait from the mountains. I find the water in here very soft feeling. It is not that hot as they use some creek water from the nearby creek to cool it off.

COOL POOL: This is a great pool for families and has a small slide and a diving board. It has a deep end and a shallow end and is great for swimming laps.

SUPRISE PLUNGE POOL: Some days it is FREEZING and some nights it is so HOT you can bearly get into it.

The whole place is outdoors and under the mountains. In the Hot pool you can touch the mountain while sitting in the pool.

There is everything from parking to change rooms and it is all easy.

The prices are:

Adult: 17-64- $6.50 (CAD)

Senior/Youth: 6-16- $5.50 (CAD)

There are also family rates but I don't know about that.

If you need any help on places to stay ask me!!

Sincerly, Barkley

There are plenty of places to stay in Radium. The hot springs are right by the road that goes through a canyon. You might also want to consider Fairmont Hot Springs, about 25 minutes south and well off the highway. The view from there is fantastic - winter is my preferred time, around sunset. Free entry if you ski the hill, otherwise it's about $4-$6. Lots of accommodation there too, but more condominiums than motels.

And if you want a real adventure and see how the people of BC rally enjoy the land, ask for directions to White Swan or Ram Creek natural hot springs. (warning..for the back country adventure type) cost: free
