Hello all

This will be my first time going to Mexico but its not the tourist destination its to Mexicali to visit some friends.

My question is, if worse come to worse and my friends can't pick me up after work is it cheaper and easier to take a bus to Mexicali from El Centro? I know its a 10min drive to Mexicali but I know I will be crossing the border. How much hassle to cross the border from the states and will it be quick or long line ups? I hope they have a bus service to Mexicali since its cheaper than taking a taxi ride. I'm flying from Toronto to Los Angeles to El Centro. Its cheaper for me to do it this way.

I will be staying at a cheap hotel but don't know where in Mexicali so thats why I'm hoping to avoid taxi and take a bus.

My friends will be taking me to Ensenada and Tijuana and San Felipe. They all live in Mexicali since their work is at Honeywell Mexicali. They will be taking me to some of these places while I'm in Mexicali :) Your help is much appreciate.

I think I will have to talk to a Travel Agent about buying a tourist card since I'm going for one week.
