I am going to Dreams Tulum in September. I have read in the reviews about getting free upgrades from a deluxe room to the dreams side. Has anyone in the forum actually had any problems getting an upgrade? Most of the reviews mentioned the deluxe rooms were terrible and should stay in the new Dreams section. Just wondering if I should book ahead and pay a little more for a room in the Dreams section and not take any chances on whether I get a free upgrade and possibly pay a lot more when I get to the hotel.

The upgraded rooms are bigger. when you check in they offer the upgrade at $40 a night, not free. We had no problem upgrading. We were given the deluxe room to change in and it was very nice too. You will have a blast!
