We've been going to the Yucatan for a long time and usually stay at Secerts Capri or Azul Beach Resort, partly because of the drink and food service on the beach. Yes ,we love to lounge. Are there other hotels that have similar services ?

Oh my.... What's the diff between a waiter and 'beach butler'? Do you have a little bell to ring for them? That's the way to absorb into the Mexican culture. :-)

I'm curious about this also. Do the Iberostars have them? I guess for the right amount of $$$ anyone can have a beach butler to service them drinks and food.

At the Grand, they served drinks and brought us fresh bottles of water.

At LeBlanc, they put towels on the chairs for you, bring you fresh fruit and water, cold towels (without having to ask) and also food and drink. LeBlanc was totally decadent.

Roostergirl, this was one of the questions my daughter-in-law asked about the IB Tucan and I told her I was sure they didn't since they have the bar on the beach. She said the "ultimate" vacation for her this year would be to plop on the beach with a good book, ocean waves and interesting people to watch without having to get up to get her next drink (she's only 24!!)!! Geesh, she really isn't planning on getting much exercise!! ;~) Thanks for the info.
