Help! I am a novice traveler.......obviously! I have been reading about forms of ID needed to travel from US to Mexico. I thought I was safe with drivers license, birth certificates and marriage license. I just came across something about a tourist card needed. Is this something I will get upon arriving in Mexico? If not, where do I get one. Please don't tell me my onlyoption is to go to the nearest airport. It's not far for me but my daughter is away at college! Okay, be honest if that is my only option. =)

I actually printed out info form Map chick and took it with me. It was very helpful when filling out immigration customs etc. Yes, it is something they give you after you go through immigrations.

They will pass those out to you on the plane and a customs form. If you are married only the head of the family need to fill it out. If not each of you will need one. Bring plenty of pens (that work, lol )because they do not loan them out on the plane.

If you mess up don't worry they will give you another one. You will need your passport out if you have one to complete it if you do not have a passport it's still okay.

Map Chick has a very good site for all this info and you can see what you are going to fill out before you do it.
