This has probably been posted before, but if anyone plans to use starwood points under the nights and flights deal at the Sheraton or Westin, you cannot upgrade your room through Starwood. Word I got back is that the Westin may allow me to purchase an upgrade to an ocean view when we check in, otherwise I'll live with the lagoon view, not that we will be in the room that much anyway.
