Will we need to be concerned (prepared for) about mosquitos when we go in mid-October?

If so, what do you recommend? Brings something from home? Or buy there?

I wouldn't dream of going w/out mosquito repellent but I am a mosquito magnet.

Have been to Zihua just about every month of the year and they *always* find me.

So yes...be prepared.

Not just there, even here at home from May thru October my repellent is never far away. A magnet I tell ya.

Bring some w/ you. We needed it in early november last year. Just pack bug spray (like you take camping) in your suitcase. You might need it at night.

I think it depends on how far from ocean you are. I've been to Zihua twice in October (separate visits, of course!) and never had a problem. I will admit, we could only tear ourselves away from the beach a couple times to go into town though. It wouldn't hurt to bring some repellant, but I would be surprised if you need it.
