Hi all, here I am, in Mazatlan....FINALLY!!

It was a long trip from Kelowna to here...not sure I recommend the 5am flight out of Seattle, its a bit of a early wakeup, but...I was here at 1:30, pick up some groceries and at the condo unpacked, beer in hand and toes in the sand by 3.

We were beat after the long day so wandered the beach and found the Torres, what a beautiful place! We sat at their beach bar for some drinks and ended up staying for dinner and the sunset. Lots of families to watch, little kids having fun in the surf. So seems like a very family friendly place, as well as a great place for a couple to have some quiet time. Food was great, sorry, have no idea what we spent..was just to into the moment the care!

Cheers

Yay for you mama40,

The Torres is great! Champagne brunch on Sundays too...be there or be square!

Where is HOME for you this trip if you don't mind my asking?

Looking forward to your updates as you find time.

If you like onion rings try their Onion Strings at Torres.

Chees back at you,

MBL

Mmmm MBL, onion strings...will keep my eye out!!

DC, This June is amazing, very humid...(good for the old 40+ skin ;) )

The temp is perfect, its been cloudy with early morning rain, and then in the afternoon it clears off to be perfect!

Yes Lar, no construction problems on this end, but the south end might not be so quiet. Still, walk down the beach a bit and ahhhh

The waves out here on Cerritos(sp) beach are amazing!! Hubby and I are thinking that we love this area the most. But...heheee, we still have lots of Maz School to go through.

Walked to Playa Bruja for coconut shrimp this...morning? 45min walk..perfect! couple of pacifico..sorry Lar..and the shrimp were 130peso. CHEAP, Hubby figures that a serving of the shrimp is about 1.5lbs. will post pics of them on our next visit so you all can see the size of these babies!!

More to tell, but no time, my beer and most excellent hubby are waiting on the balcony!

Cheers

Mama40 {-DD-| ...(thanks DC ;D )

Thanks Mazlove, will be having a Bahama Mama tonight I think ;)

CG, Thank you my friend. ;)

Tony, we have been surf casting, having a ball and talking to another fella from down the beach, getting tips. A good bite this morning, but nothing so far. Still, a nice way to spend a morning or evening!

The weather here couldnt be better folks, so far a perfect vacation, and as always the people are so wonderful!

Cheers,

Mama...are any of the ideas..that my husband offered OK...another words did he at least point you in the right direction ??

Are you enjoying your resort, how are the rooms there ?...do you feel a bit out of touch though...not being in the gold Zone...I bet a lot more peaceful !! that may be a good change...

Mama40,

Glad you enjoyed the Coconut Shrimp at Playa Bruja: Mr. Liones's - lo mejor, si?

Definitely worth the short walk, but we live at 1800 meters, so we literally ran for late comida despite being in our mid and late 60's.
