Where to eat in Nassau? |
|
We are staying at the Atlantis. We opted out on the meal plans in hopes of venturing out of the Atlantis for food and fun. I have read reviews here on tripadvisor.com and I have checked out the PDF that makes recomendations. If anyone has extra input that would be greatly appreciated! Price is really no issue as long as the food is good. We are in search of reasonably priced food for lunch and a great dinner! Would you please make your recommendations and the price range and why you recommended it. Are there any local hang outs you have visited at night w/ dancing, music, band, etc? Also, are domestic beers available there - I am a huge fan of Mich Ultra and hope this beer will be available there. If no, can someone recommend a beer comparable in taste to Mich Ultra or Cooler's Light. Will I be able to get Dr Green Tea w/ Citrus and Mountain Dew? I know these questions sound crazy, but it is my first trip to the Bahama's, other place's I have visited I had none of the options. I am hoping the Bahama's may be different since we can drink the water here! Our visit will be the 3rd week of August. Thanks in advance! |

Prepare yourself - the Bahamas is expensive. Although there are over 30 restaurants in and around Atlantis, all priced differently, just getting away from the complex from time to time is most refreshing. A drawback... the additional cost of a taxi, bus, or ferry will add to the cost of meal. I'll just mention a few places: Dinner "Compass Point". The experience is worth the 1/2 hour taxi ride. (check menu on website) "Sun And" is a hidden gem. The "Poop Deck", just accross the eastern bridge, is alot of fun. Not overly expensive, but pricey. Lunch (cheaper) "Iguana Cafe" on Bay St. Sit outside and watch the hustle from the 2nd floor. "Athena", also downtown. "Green Parrott"...accross the western bridge. Plenty more places I didn't mention. And as far as the beer....drink Kalik and/or Kalik Gold. You're in the Bahamas. Have a great trip. | ||||||
