I have sbeen searching for a sailing and snorkeling adventure in Grand Cayman for a Saturday in Janurary. We've enjoyed sting ray but since we are on a cruise we wanted to be more specific about our time. We arrive at 7 am and leave 6 pm (ship time) Is there such a trip in Grand Cayman? All help is greatly appreciated.

The Jolly Roger advertises trips geared to cruise ship passengers schedules. According to the website, you e-mail then with date, # of passengers, etc. and they will tell you what trips they have that might fit your schedule. Website is

Mainstay Sailing and Red Baron Charters indicate they offer charters but you would likely need a group for those.

The Cayman Island Sailing Club offers a 22 ft sail boat for charter. Doesn't say whether it includes a captain or not. Again, pretty pricey so that also may not be in your budget. The also have day sailers available for rent a t more affordable prices if you know how to sail yourself.

The following website has info on a couple of private sailing charters. They indicate that they go to Stingray City but perhaps you could contact them about an alternate itinerary.

Seems like most of the sailing excursions head for Stingray City but perhaps some of the other forum "regulars" can come up with suggestions.

Actually I can't. If I had to make an educated guess I'd say it's at or near the Cayman Yacht Club, which is on the North Sound, as that's where a web page indicated races were being held that were being centered around the sailing club. Perhaps one of the "regulars" can provide the info. The sailing club website has a "contact page" so perhaps you could just email the appropriate person listed for rentals.
