I will be in PR and need to trave from Fajardo to Ponce.

1) How long is the drive?

2) How are the road conditions?

3) How safe is it?

1. About 3 hours without traffic. It will take significantly longer if you take the expressway during peak/rush hours.

2. The conditions are ok. Both the expressway and panoramic route are paved.

3. Both routes are safe.

Roads 53 (Fajardo) and 30 (Humacao) to 52 (Caguas), a total of one hour.

Road 52 from Caguas to Ponce, one hour.

Take cash with you for the toll gates.

The Panoramico is a great road. The views are spectaular. I rode my bicycle from Cayey to Aibonito. Huge hills.
